The twin-spectrum Insectrons®
Abiotec’s research into the sensitivity of insects to various wavelengths has led to a new innovation: the B/V version of the Insectron® range.
Two wavelengths are particularly attractive to provide even greater effectiveness.
The research department of the University of Groningue (Netherlands) has shown that the combination of a UV-A lamp and a green lamp has a much greater attractive power than UV-A lamps alone. In addition, this technique allows insects to be captured faster thus reducing the time the insect is present in the building and therefore the contamination risks.
The B/V version is available on Insectrons® fitted with at least two tubes on the same side of the glue board.
