The twin-spectrum Insectrons®

Abiotec’s research into the sensitivity of insects to various wavelengths has led to a new innovation: the B/V version of the Insectron® range.

Two wavelengths are particularly attractive to provide even greater effectiveness.

The research department of the University of Groningue (Netherlands) has shown that the combination of a UV-A lamp and a green lamp has a much greater attractive power than UV-A lamps alone, particularly on the Lepidoptera family.

Active over surface areas of up to 950 m2

Tests carried out in collaboration with the CTIFL have shown that the surface area over which an Abiotec twin-spectrum Insectron® can attract insects was approximately 1000 m² i.e. ten twin-spectrum Insectrons® to protect a hectare of greenhouses.
