Original H-trap horsefly trap
The H-Trap was chosen for the protection of horses and riders against insect bites during major competitions such as the French Open or the World Equestrian Games following an installation study carried out by Abiotec.
The H-Trap was tested and approved by the World Equestrian Games veterinary department and the AgroExpert independent laboratory and its effectiveness was proven scientifically by the Ecole Nationale Vétérinaire de Toulouse (ENVT) (National Veterinary School of Toulouse).
How does the H-Trap work?
Designed to be located outdoors, the H-Trap system provides effective protection against horseflies.
It operates without use of either chemicals or electricity!
Heated by the sun, the black sphere attracts insects by giving off heat like a human being. Once on the sphere, they examine it and try to bite it.
As they are not able to obtain any blood on which to feed, they follow their natural behaviour and fly off.
The insects then enter a conical system where they are led into a capture tank filled with water and/or food-grade syrup. The insects are then neutralised.
The H-TRAP is also very effective in providing peace to domestic animals, often the victims of painful bites (horses, livestock, etc.). A reduction of 90 to 95% in the number of horseflies has been observed.

Flyzone XL fly trap
The Flyzone trap contains a bait which is irresistible to flies. This bait is made from foods and food flavourings known not to present a health risk. The bait dissolves and is activated when water is added to the bag. Attracted by the aroma, flies enter the trap through the yellow cover located at the top of the bag and drown in the water.
How does the flyzone trap work?
Once flies enter the trap, they cannot escape and drown in the water added to the bag beforehand.

The W-trap wasp trap
For domestic and professional use Wasps are a recurrent problem during Summer and Autumn. Towards the end of the summer period, they become more and more aggressive, increasing the risks of being stung. To stop this nuisance, Abiotec offers a new effective wasp trap, the W-trap.
It comes in the form of a container with conical openings especially designed to tempt wasps to enter and working more effectively than traditional traps.
How does the W-trap wasp trap work?
The cover screwed onto the trap provides easy access for regularly removing the captured insects. The colour and materials used in the W-trap have been selected in order to combine performance and strength. The W-trap wasp trap can be used outdoors. The W-trap must contain attractant.*
It is recommended to use the BSI attractant marketed by Abiotec which is optimised for quickly and efficiently trapping wasps. Its naturally-sourced constituents are fully biodegradable and totally harmless.
